Carton House, a Fairmont Managed Hotel is luxury resort escapism at its best. Set on 1,100 private acres of sweeping Kildare parkland, just twenty minutes from Dublin International Airport, it is one of Ireland’s most exquisite national treasures. When you arrive at Carton House, you enter a place rich with over three centuries of history. Originally the home of the influential and aristocratic FitzGerald family, its history is as dramatic and storied as that of our nation itself; rich in art, culture, romance and politics, echoes of which can be felt as you walk the halls today. The resort is home to two championship, 18 hole golf courses, luxury spa and wellness facilities and a number of unique dining experiences. The property has a wall that’s five miles long and was built as a family estate in 1739. Stunning.

It is in Rio, more specifically on Copacabana Beach, that Fairmont has chosen to open its first hotel in South America, around the sun-kissed sands of the beach and under the gaze of the Majestic Sugar Loaf Mountain. Set in one of the most spectacular areas on the waterfront, the Fairmont Rio de Janeiro Copacabana was designed by renowned architect Patricia Anastassiadis inspired by the glamour of the 1950’s in Rio. Enjoy the best of Copacabana with our beach service, two pools and fitness center. Our 375 apartments, including 68 suites, are decorated in shades of blue, inspired by the Copacabana sea. Amazing views of the ocean and Sugar Loaf Mountain, plus 524 verandahs and a Willow Stream Spa.
