Potential students and their families can explore what Macomb Community College has to offer through six virtual Discover Macomb sessions held during March, with each focused on the college’s major program areas.

During each Discover Macomb session, representatives from admissions will give a brief overview of Macomb followed by in-depth information on the specific program area presented by the academic department. Information will include program requirements, transfer plans and connections to workforce opportunities followed by a question-and-answer period. The presentations will be held from various academic areas, including:

• Public Service Institute – Tuesday, March 16, 7 – 8 p.m.

• Arts and Sciences – Thursday, March 18, 7 – 8 p.m.

• Applied Technology and Skilled Trades – Tuesday, March 23, 7 – 8p.m.

• Business, IT and Culinary – Thursday, March 25, 7 – 8 p.m.

• Health and Human Services – Tuesday, March 30, 7 – 8 p.m.

• Media and Communication Arts – Thursday, April 1, 7 – 8 p.m.

After the presentations, Discover Macomb participants will receive follow-up information, including information on strategies for graduating from Macomb debt free, the college’s more than 200 transfer plans for those interested in earning a bachelor’s degree, dual-enrollment opportunities and campus life, including student clubs, activities and sports teams. They will also receive information on upcoming virtual presentations on a variety of topics including how to apply to Macomb, navigating financial aid and other student resources.

Participants are welcome to attend multiple sessions if more than one program area interests them. During each Discover Macomb session, participants are eligible to win a $50 gift card to the Macomb bookstore, and they will also be given an entry into a drawing for a $500 scholarship to Macomb for each session attended.

All of the Discover Macomb events are free of charge but require preregistration. For more information and to register, go to macomb.edu/discovermacomb.
