Schools explore bringing back prom. Will there be dancing?

LIMA — After a year of disruption and loss, high schools are trying to revive prom, graduation and other milestone ceremonies their students look forward to as an unusual school year comes to an end.

The Ohio Department of Health last week revised its mass gatherings order, allowing schools to host prom so long as schools comply with other health orders, like the state’s mask mandate and social distancing protocols.

Morrison County to explore options on Recorder position | Morrison County Record

Morrison County Recorder Eileen Holtberg’s announcement on Feb. 23 that she plans to retire in May re-opened an old issue for the Board of Commissioners.

In 2017, Morrison County was included in legislation that allows county boards to pass a resolution allowing the County Recorder position — which is typically filled through election — to be appointed by the Board.
